Music

The Master of Arts in Music at Washington State University is a two-year program designed to provide students with an advanced understanding of musical performance, composition, music history and literature, and conducting. Through the program's core courses, students will gain a comprehensive overview of the field as well as a deeper knowledge in their chosen concentration. The program also includes hands-on experience through innovative projects and research opportunities. Graduates from this program will be well-prepared for careers in education or industry settings such as arts management, performing arts organizations, recording studios or music festivals. With the flexibility to pursue their studies on campus or online through Global Campus, this unique program provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to make meaningful contributions towards the advancement of music on all levels.
