The PhD in Biomedical Sciences Combined Anatomic Pathology Residency at Washington State University is an innovative research and training program focused on immunology, epidemiology, and host-pathogen interactions of bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections of animals and humans. This program provides students with a comprehensive education through both academic coursework and hands-on experience in state-of-the-art labs funded by the NIH, NSF, USAID, USDA, The Wellcome Trust, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as other federal, state, regional, and private institutions. Students will have the opportunity to engage in dissertation research under the direction of a highly collaborative faculty that is internationally recognized for its infectious disease research. Upon completion of this program graduates will be well prepared to pursue careers in academia or industry while making meaningful contributions towards improving animal and human health outcomes worldwide.
