Florida Institute of Technology
(FIT) is a private research university in Melbourne, Florida. Founded in 1958, FIT is ranked #202 in the U.S. News & World Report's 2022-2023 edition of Best Colleges.
FIT offers over 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and is known for its strong engineering, science, and aviation programs. FIT is also home to the Florida Tech Research Park, which is home to over 100 companies and research organizations.
FIT's campus is located in the heart of Florida's Space Coast, and is home to a variety of cultural attractions, including the Kennedy Space Center, the Brevard Zoo, and the Melbourne Museum. FIT is also a member of the Sunshine State Conference, and its athletic teams are known as the Panthers.
